Objective:

The student project competition offers an opportunity for students to work on an actual industrial case and propose resolution. This allows them to gain experience in resolving real-world industrial problems.

Eligibility:

University students in Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality or related disciplines.

Program Details:

Each University can nominate a maximum of 10 students, with 3 to 4 students in a team, and 1 staff to provide coaching. Industrial cases offered by the sponsor will be assigned to the teams at the briefing session. A visit to the sponsor¡¦s site will be conducted soon after the briefing session to allow students to make observations and collect data to solve their assigned problems. Each team is required to submit a report in about 2,500 words proposing a solution to the assigned problem, and give a 20-minute presentation on the submission as well as to take questions from the judges. The report and the presentation are in English.

19 April 2008 (Afternoon) ¡V Project Presentation held at CityU

The Judging Panel consists of representatives from ENW Electronics Ltd. and Hong Kong Society for Quality

Prizes:

The Champion team and teams of the Runners-up will receive prizes sponsored by ENW Electronics Ltd.

Each participant will receive a certificate from HKSQ
