Company Based Student Project Competition

2012 Student Project Competition: Objective: The student project competition offers an opportunity for students to work on an actual industrial case and propose resolution. This allows them to gain experience of resolving an industrial problem. Eligibility: University students in Industrial, Manufacturing, Quality or related disciplines. Each University can nominate a maximum of eight students, with three to four students in a team, and one staff to provide coaching. Sponsor: Vital-Health Livestock Development Limited Program Details: 10 February 2012 (6:30 pm) - Briefing session of the program, Industrial cases will be assigned to the teams. Venue: CF403, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
25 Feb 2012 (whole day) - Visit the plant. Details to be advised at the briefing session on Feb 10
22 March 2012 - Deadline for each team to submit to HKSQ (

24 March 2012 (13:30-18:00) - Project Presentation. Venue: To be determined
Each team has to give a 20-minute presentation to the Judging Panel, and take questions from the judges.
The Judging Panel consists of representatives from Vital-Health Livestock Development Limited and Hong Kong Society for Quality.
Judging Criteria: Approach, Effectiveness and Practical Applicability Prizes: The Champion team and teams of the Runners-up will receive award sponsored by the sponsor company.
