Ishikawa-Kano Award
Criteria for awardee
- The awardee(s) of the IKA is not restricted to one person. Any candidate who meets the standard of IKA can be awarded.
- The person(s) chosen for the award shall have made contributions to the advancement or promotion of excellence through the theory and/or practice of quality management in Asian countries.
- He/she should have made contributions to quality-centered excellence in any organized human endeavor – manufacturing, infrastructure, services, health care, research/, education, social service or any other.
- He/she should have made significant contributions in the field of quality management in at least two Asian countries, preferably three or more.
- The contribution could be through research, publications, teaching, consultation, counseling, guidance and/or advice.
- He/she should have worked in this field for at least fifteen years, preferably longer, thus demonstrating commitment over a long period of time.
- The contribution is to be evaluated by the Award Committee as representing a high level of significance in terms of actual past results, but also considering potential for future application.
- The current members of the Award Committee and/or the current members of the ANQ Board shall not be eligible for consideration for the Award during their terms.
